Dr. José Rifón

Professional career
Graduated in Medicine from the University of Cantabria (1985) and was awarded his doctorate by the University of Navarra (1992). He specialised in Haematology and Haemotherapy at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. He carried out a training placement on the Hematopoietic Transplant Unit at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
He is now in charge of the Hematopoietic Transplant Unit and the Haematology Clinical Trials at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

As an educator
He is an associate professor of Haematology at the University of Navarra Faculty of Medicine and has led 4 doctoral theses. He is a Clinical Practice tutor for second year Medicine students and Haematology residents.
He teaches specialities such as Internal Medicine and Oncology at the University of Navarra Nursing Faculty.
As a researcher
Author of 6 book chapters.
He has written more than 50 articles for national and international scientific magazines.
