Cardiovascular check-up
ICAP
A new approach to cardiovascular risk
The only checkup that incorporates the highest diagnostic imaging technology to accurately quantify your risk of stroke and myocardial infarction.
Thanks to the exclusive dedication of our professionals, we are able to perform the ICAP Check-up in less than 48 hours with a highly accurate diagnosis.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, accounting for more than 30% of registered deaths.
Its main cause is arteriosclerosis, an inflammatory process of the artery wall. The plaque can eventually rupture and generate a thrombus that causes an infarction (a lack of oxygen, ischemia) the affected vessels. For example. Acute myocardial infarction or stroke (brain).
The Cardiovascular Checkup seeks to detect any initial signs of arteriosclerosis, since clinically it may take years to manifest itself. A risk of the possibility of the atheroma plaque lining rupturing and causing local thrombus formation.
In 48 hours the medical team obtains an objective, anatomical and functional knowledge of the atherosclerotic plaque and, therefore, the most accurate and personalized information to establish the most appropriate treatment in each case.

- Complete blood tests and electrocardiogram.
- CT angiography: provides a complete anatomical image, fast, accurate and comparable in evolution of the main arteries of the body: aorta, carotid, renal arteries and iliac and femoral arteries.
- CT coronary angiography: allows non-invasive assessment of coronary arteries by means of CT reconstruction (computed tomography).
- FDG PET: helps to assess the inflammation of atheroma plaques as well as the variation of inflammatory activity after treatment.
