The Dental Unit of the Clinica Universidad de Navarra treats the usual reasons why a patient may come to the dentist's office, such as pain, difficulties in chewing function, and a demand to improve the aesthetics of their smile. Often these symptoms are mixed.
It is the dentist's job to recognize the order of importance of what the patient refers to and to know how to document it, so that after a thorough study, he or she can explain to the patient his or her illness and the different possibilities of treatment in an environment of integral medical treatment.
It is key to be able to communicate the treatment planning, with the possible collaboration of different specialists. On many occasions, it is important to optimize the number of treatment sessions due to professional occupations or geographic displacements.
The Clinica Universidad de Navarra has extensive experience in rehabilitation with dental implants, with highly satisfactory results for patients and professionals.
In addition, the professionals of the Dental Unit are part of the Program of Dental Care for Children (PADI) of the Navarra Health Service, directed at children between 6 and 15 years of age.
The objective of this program is to improve their oral health through preventive actions and free basic dental care.

Monitored sedation
For certain procedures we perform pharmacological sedation of the patient during dental treatment, a technique that is monitored throughout the session by an anesthesiologist and a nurse.
It is especially indicated for the application of long treatments and people who present an exaggerated phobia to the dentist.
