Chickenpox is rare in renal graft recipients, but is frequently associated with visceral dissemination and death.
Acyclovir is an effective and safe agent in the treatment of chickenpox or primary varicella zoster virus (VZV) infection.We present our experience in four cases who developed the disease following cadaveric renal transplantation (CRT).
