Digital angiography

The Clinic has digital angiography equipment within the Radiology area. Angiography is a scan to obtain electrically subtracted vascular images in real time after the injection of contrast media.

Compared to conventional angiography, the application of a computer to the digital intensifier allows an increase in sensitivity with low contrasts of lower concentration.

It is a rotational system with which multiple images are obtained in numerous projections with different degrees of obliquity. Once the images have been acquired, they can be transferred to the workstation, where the three-dimensional reconstructions are produced. The information is then sent to the angiograph, which is automatically placed in the optimum position required to start the operation.
