SPECT-CT

This is one of the most relevant diagnostic equipment given that it incorporates xSPECT technology, which is unique in Spain.

This procedure revolutionises the world of Molecular Imaging as, for the first time in Spain, it fully integrates SPECT and CT technologies and provides more accurate information on more complex organs and anatomical structures, such as the heart, the spine, the pelvis and the brain.

Applied to the bone image, xSPECT offers anatomical clarity and resolution similar to that of CT. This will enable to obtain diagnostic information, both in benign and malignant bone pathology, with an extraordinary quality and a quantification equivalent to PET. 

The classic SPECT/CT image of the skeleton does not reach the optimal resolution equivalent to CT and such a precise quantification of the pathological processes as the xSPECT equipment does. Moreover, this device enables to determine whether a treatment is effective from the very first stages.
