The echocardiograph allows us to obtain a moving image of the heart and thus determine the shape, size and strength of the heart, the movement and thickness of its walls and the functioning of its valves by means of ultrasound.
This device does not use X-rays, so its use is harmless to the body.
Echocardiography is a fundamental diagnostic test in which no prior preparation is required. This test lasts a maximum of 45 minutes and does not involve any discomfort for the patient.
There are different types of tests depending on the information to be obtained.
